Dynamic Control System Development Using the SES-DP Framework

This Video Series demonstrates one of an infinite number of SES-DP Framework applications. Here we develop a plant dynamics simulation and a control system for the SES custom rotary inverted pendulum hardware in Matlab Simulink. We then use the SES-DP Toolbox to automatically convert these Simulink models into SES-DP plug-ins. These plug-ins are then run in the Non-Real-Time desktop environment where they are extensively tested and verified off line from the actual hardware. The controller plug-in is then deployed into the real-time HWIL environment without modification where it is shown to successfully control the actual hardware. All of this is accomplished without writing a single line of C++ code and without integration headaches!
